It was wonderful to come back to my home, and to return to Yataity after eight days spent away at Reconnect in Guarambaré!   Once again, during my absence and upon my arrival the kindness of people was evident. Thanks to Leidyd Marlucy and Celia Portillo, and thank you to my neighbors, Doña Tota, Don Chili, Sonia, Alfredo, Lili, and my new friend, Guillermo Narvaja. Within moments of arriving at my site, I saw hospitality exhibited at its best. A special gem of a community – Yataity!

The conference that I attended in Guarambaré was especially helpful. We had many good discussions regarding the technical aspects of our projects and shared much information regarding methods that are proven to work well here in Paraguay. It was a very valuable experience and I am grateful to the Peace Corps for providing the conference. Plus, it was good to spend time with the other volunteers in my group.

I really appreciated the hard work of our professors. I especially want to thank Andrea Gomez for the fabulous lessons in Guarani and Castellano. She is a very talented and knowledgeable teacher. I feel more capable of comprehending Guarani, a difficult language. It was a lovely experience to be back with the Peace Corps staff in Guarambaré, and delightful to have had the opportunity to stay in the home of the Medina family. What a lovely family! And Nilda Sosa de Medina, I love my new haircut!

Es maravilloso volver a mi casa y volver a Yataity! Una vez más, mientras estuve ausente y a mi llegada, la amabilidad de la gente era evidente. Gracias a Leidyd Merlucy y Celia Portillo y gracias a mis vecinos, Doña Tota, Don Chili, Alfredo Alves Arias, Sonia, Lili, y mi nuevo amigo, Guillermo Narvaja. En pocos momentos de llegar a mi sitio, vi hospitalidad exhibió en todo su esplendor. Una joya especial de una comunidad – Yataity!

La Conferencia que asistí en Guarambaré fue especialmente útil. Tuvimos muchas buenas discusiones con respecto a los aspectos técnicos de nuestros proyectos y compartir toda la información sobre los métodos que se ha comprobado que funcionan bien aquí en Paraguay. Fue una experiencia muy valiosa y estoy agradecido a Cuerpos de Paz para dar la Conferencia. Además, era bueno para pasar tiempo con los demás voluntarios en mi grupo!

Realmente aprecio el arduo trabajo de nuestros profesores. Especialmente quiero dar las gracias a Andrea Gomez, para las fabulosas lecciones en Guaraní y Castellano. Es una profesora muy talentoso y bien informado. Me siento más capaz de comprender estas idiomas difícil.

Fue una experiencia hermosa para estar de vuelta con el personal del Cuerpo de Paz en Guarambaré y muy agradable haber tenido la oportunidad de permanecer en el hogar de la familia Medina! Nilda y Ignacio! Es una familia encantadora! Y Nilda — Me encanta mi nuevo corte de pelo!
